I have trained as an enrolled nurse and working in child protection prior to enrolling at LTT Perth. I decided to complete the AE218 COVID-19 Collection skill set as it offers the flexibility I need. My training experience was excellent! The staff are friendly and very helpful. And most importantly the multiculturalism that made up the big numbers of students. It was really great to be part of it!

My background many years ago was in accounting. I have been a stay-at-home mum while also doing volunteer work. I was caring for my mum and volunteering as secretary for a sporting club before enrolling with LTT.

A member at the club I volunteer at, who is a neurosurgeon in Perth, recommended me to LTT.

After attending an information session, I decided to enrol in the COVID-19 Collection skill set. The staff were accommodating and friendly.

Overall, the training was excellent. The trainer made it very enjoyable, and no question was a stupid question. My favourite part of the short course was the practicals. Getting to put what we learnt into action. I learn better with hands-on experiences.

I was a registered nurse for over 30 years. I had not worked for over 5 years because of illness and decided to return to work once I felt well enough. I thought the AE218 COVID-19 Collection skill set training would help me re-enter the workforce.

I heard about LTT through the Armadale Job and Skills Centre. The 3-day skill set was great! It was very interesting and gave me confidence in being able to work again. Studying with a group was very supportive. I’m now looking for part time work in the health industry.

I have been working in pathology for nearly 20 years. I have also partially completed Archaeology degree.

My training was excellent, it helped me to understand more about other departments. Especially with training new staff, I have learnt many new invaluable skills through the course. I am a paediatric doctor from the Philippines who has been out of work for 12 years.

I compared LTT Brisbane with two other training providers and decided that LTT offers the best option for me. The course was the right duration, accessible by train (since I do not drive and I live in Beerwah), and the staff were very supportive.

My training experience was excellent! My favourite part of the course was the hands on learning of phlebotomy. I have done it a million times in the past since I used to work in a major maternity/paediatric hospital (with NICU) in Manila. But our tools were different then. So, I needed to reorient myself and adjust.

I’m a mother of two boys aged 11 (who was autism) and 18 months. I live on the central coast and travelled 1.5 hours to get to LTT Sydney for the course. I had previously studied 2 years in nursing but had to stop due to my son’s disability. Before having my 18-month-old, I did previously work in aged care as a catering assistant and worked in my own kitchen within the dementia residency.

I was looking for a pathology course, and LTT had the most attractive course that suited my needs. I had a bit of trouble with the online training, but eventually got the hang of it. The training experience was great. My favourite part was meeting new people and the practical work.

I have gained employment with Australian Clinical Labs as a pathology collector. I’m focusing on my training with them. I’m performing collections, swabs, ECG monitoring, and holter monitors. I recommend LTT’s pathology collection course as its fast-paced course and efficient.

After graduating from LTT in 2020, it did take a little while to get a job due to COVID-19. However, a few months later I began my practical at Australian Clinical Labs and soon got a job working as a phlebotomist in a small centre in Belmont training along side a lovely lady named Shannyn. After training I was moved around a bit wherever I was needed. Six months passed and I was asked by my boss if I’d like to work at the hospital in Midland. I agreed and have been working full time there ever since, working in the collection centre and on the wards! We started in the emergency department and I can now successfully put in a cannula.

I gained employment straight after finishing the pathology course. Since 2017, I have worked at three major hospitals across WA and QLD. LTT taught me how to collect blood quickly and efficiently.
