I’m a business owner and had a friend recommend LTT to me. I enrolled in the Certificate III in Pathology Collection at LTT Brisbane and my training was awesome! My favourite aspect of the course was our bleed training. Thank you LTT!

I am a mother of three and a business owner/operator of a Skin and Laser Clinic. I hold a Bachelor of Health Science, specialising in Dermal Therapies. I am also a dermoscopist (skin cancer checks), Diploma qualified beauty therapist and I hold a Certificate IV in Workplace and Assessment.
I was enrolled in a different place to LTT and started the first day of that phlebotomy course. However, they were very unorganised and everything was a mystery. Being a business owner, I couldn’t operate that way. I needed somewhere with more structure and that was more organised.
LTT kept popping up on my Facebook so I decided to give LTT Melbourne a call, from there I fell in love. The lady that answered my telephone enquiry was so helpful and organised, gave me all the dates and everything I needed to know about the Certificate III in Pathology Collection course.
The reason I did this course was to add an extra service to my treatment list, however I loved it so much that I wouldn’t mind working one day a week as a phlebotomist! COVID-19 lockdowns definitely made our training experience challenging. The hands on, practical training was my favourite part of the course. The skills you gain from this course are second to none. Evie Csapo has been amazing, her knowledge is second to none and the skills you gain from her vast experience, you can’t get anywhere else. I can’t recommend this course enough. I’m now utilising this new skill to add PRP to my treatment services for skin and hair rejuvenation.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ LTT Pathology Collector Course Review
I completed the Certificate III in Pathology Collection in March 2026 at Osborne Park through LTT Group Pty Ltd, and I can confidently say it was an excellent experience.
A standout of the course was our trainer, Justin Rogers. He is phenomenal—bringing extensive real-world experience into the classroom and sharing practical scenarios that truly prepare you for the job. He creates a comfortable learning environment, is approachable, and genuinely cares about helping you become a competent and confident phlebotomist.
The team at LTT Osborne Park were also fantastic. Everyone is friendly, supportive, and clearly invested in the success of their students. Communication throughout the course was clear, the facilities were great, and the class sizes were ideal for hands-on learning.
The practical training was a major highlight. The in-class venepuncture practice is very hands-on with excellent supervision, helping you build confidence and develop your technique. The online learning platform is well-structured and easy to follow, complementing the practical components perfectly. I also really appreciated that LTT includes certification in Drug and Alcohol collection, which not all courses offer.
The course prepared me extremely well for the workplace. It helped me find my rhythm with blood collection and boosted my confidence significantly. The one-week work placement was incredibly valuable and gave me real insight into the field—I was even contacted for an interview just a week after completing my placement.
The only minor downside is limited parking, but this is communicated clearly before starting the course, so it’s not unexpected.
I would highly recommend this course to anyone—whether you’re starting out or changing careers. As a career changer myself, I feel excited and confident about my future in this field. It’s also encouraging to know that phlebotomy offers long-term career opportunities and flexibility.
Overall, a five-star experience!

I moved from the Philippines where I used to work at a process engineer and studied at university.
I choose to study with LTT because they are nationally recognised and I can use my certificate throughout Australia. I wanted to go to a training organisation that would make me feel comfortable with what I’m learning.
The Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques course was very knowledgeable, provided supplementary information about the industry and what we would expect. My favourite part of the course was learning about the spectrophotometry and learning how to prepare solutions. I love chemistry and this course made me feel more confident about what I am doing in this industry. We also were given more knowledge about the importance of safety and how to keep others around us safe.
My first week at LTT, we had SGS come to visit us with a presentation about the type of work they do, and the job offers. What really excited me about SGS was that they offer a career and not just a job and that got me excited, because that is what I wanted. I was contacted during my course and was offered employment with them. LTT supported me and helped me transition to a traineeship to complete the rest of my course.

I’m a geotechnician in CMT and completed the Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques through my employer. After finishing the course, I have climbed the company ladder. The course helped me to develop more precise and accurate documentation.

I have been out of work for a little while, but prior to that I have been an enrolled nurse. A friend and I joined the course together. We actually came to an info session interested in the Certificate III in Pathology Collection course but ended up enrolling in the Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques course!
We found the course to be a challenge, but we got there with Sahar’s support. Sahar is fantastic. She is super engaging, patient and supportive. She treats us as students but also friends, we felt comfortable and she was approachable. If you had any problems with the assessments, you could go to her. I really enjoyed the lab work the most, especially titration and spectrophotometer machine. Everything was really good!

I have been a Laboratory Technician in a high school for 13 years, with a Cert III level qualification.
I felt I was not ‘busy enough’ whilst remote learning was happening and wanted to challenge myself whilst at home.
I studied the Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques through my employer. My training experience was so much better than expected! I was also surprised at how much I learned.
My favourite part of the course was having Gavan, my Trainer/Assessor allowed to come on-site and reassure me that I was on the right track with my learning. Thank you for this opportunity. It really did help me get through COVID-19 lockdowns. I really appreciated having Gavan to read and advise me when completing my modules.

I am a qualified chef by trade and worked in the Hyatt Regency hotel overseas. When I moved to Australia, I found myself still working as a chef. After a few years working in Perth, I moved into the mining industry as a chef.
I started to think about changing my career and thought that the only way to find out is to try.
At the time of enrolling at LTT to do the Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques course, I noticed that the health industry was in demand due to COVID-19, so I was also thinking about getting into the health industry to help the community. I felt like it was the right time to make a change.
Going back to studying after many years out of school, I asked myself ‘can I do this?’. Luckily we had an amazing Trainer, Sahar. She is awesome. There were some parts of the course that I found hard to understand, but as we learnt in the classroom and studied at home, and practiced the calculations and chemistry, I got through it. The course structure is really good.
My favourite part of the course was actually standard deviations! When Sahar introduced standard deviations in the beginning, I didn’t understand. But after a couple of days, it became so easy. That’s why it became my favourite because I won’t forget how to do it.
Towards the end of my course, I also enrolled in the COVID-19 Collection skill set at LTT. My work placement component was close to my home and I received great feedback for my customer service skills. I had a job interview for a COVID-19 collector and I got the job! I started working casually as a collector during the last few weeks of the lab course.
At the end of my course, I had an interview with Bureau Veritas for a laboratory worker role. The role would involve tasks like crushing, milling and putting samples in bags for testing, as well as operating machinery.
I also applied for a FIFO COVID-19 Collection role. With my background working in the mines, my high level of customer service and my experience working as a COVID-19 collector, I felt like I had a great advantage and skill set! I was successful in gaining this position and plan to do this temporarily before getting a job in a laboratory. I’m really glad I did both the lab and COVID-19 collection courses with LTT. The Trainers and staff are so supportive and welcoming

I am a science graduate from Sri Lanka. I completed a Bachelor of Science (Chemistry) and worked as a R/D Chemist for multinational company in Sri Lanka. I was working in food production before enrolling in the lab course at LTT Melbourne.
Many people study the Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques course to open the door to science jobs. I was in the same boat because I don’t have an Australian qualification.
It was really helpful to get basic science knowledge, skills and experience to work as a laboratory technician. LTT’s course is well organised and covered everything required to work as a lab tech. The practical classes were very helpful to get idea how Australian standards work, and how quality and safety is important while working in lab.
The Trainers at LTT are so friendly and accommodating to students. I would like to thank my Trainer Dr. Priya Thomas, she has very good knowledge, experience and is very friendly. Simply she was amazing teacher.
LTT has very strong connections with industrial laboratories. Just after I completed my course, I got a job as Laboratory Technician at ALS in the Water and Soils Department. We are testing soils and water, organic and inorganic testing and some microbiology testing too. I can recommend this course anyone who wants to enter the Australian science laboratory industry. This is the best course I have completed! Very flexible, organised and affordable.

Before enrolling in the Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques course at LTT Perth, I was working as a carer in a nursing home.
I wanted to do something different from my job, maybe a short course. Then I came across LTT’s 6-month course, so I just went for it. My training experience was great, I really had fun. Our trainer was a great, patient man. My favourite part of the course was the practical testing in the laboratory.
