I was working part-time in the disability sector. I found LTT and the courses they offer through googling. I choose to study Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques, as it allowed me to maintain a balance between my job and studying, as well as being an accredited qualification. My experience with my trainers were incredible, they were devoted for the success of the class. My classmates were great to be around as we all had different work and cultural backgrounds and shared our experiences. I hope that I can continue my studies and work in variety lab fields to experience each sector.

I just finished studying at university over East and moved to Perth not so long ago. I started applying for jobs, which I found difficult without having prior lab experience or having the Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques qualification. I choose to study at LTT as the course was quicker duration than TAFE and liked the idea of being able to apply for a job in just 24 weeks. One thing I enjoyed about the course is that even though I have completed prior studies at Uni, I learned about safety within the lab in more in-depth detail.

My trainer helped improve my resume and provided me guidance on how to apply for jobs, and I was successful in my application for STATS Australia. She also was very helpful and thorough with her training, whilst sharing her knowledge of this industry.

Prior to studying with LTT I was working as a teachers aid, then changed my position to a science technician. My workplace offered me to complete the Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques with LTT, whilst working. My experience with my trainer was very good, she/he was very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed this course as it was flexible and was able to work around my job. My next focus part of my career is to complete my Diploma with LTT in my workplace.”

I was enrolled in Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques with LTT as my employer likes to encourage us to take their courses. I moved to Australia and had no prior knowledge of the industry.
My training at LTT helped me understand the important detail of my role. The most exciting and favourite part of my course was the calibration, quality system and broadening my chemistry knowledge. As I am going on maternity leave, I’m glad to have my certificate completed and hope to complete my diploma while working.

I completed the Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques through my employer, SMS Geotechnical. I have progressed further, learning more calculations, more responsibility and a pay rise. Whilst working full time I was offered to complete Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques in my workplace. Throughout my course, I was provided with plenty of support from LTT and my trainer. The training was very good as I was receiving feedback about my completed units in a timely matter. The highlight of my course was learning about the different aspects of my industry. I now wish to complete my diploma in the CMT field with LTT.

Before enrolling in the Certificate III in Pathology Collection LTT Sydney, I had a successful career in finance. However, I wanted a job that has more interaction with people and a career that would suit me and my family.

I found LTT very professional, and all the staff were super friendly. My favourite part of this course was my trainer and peers, this made me love every minute of this course!

Prior to my current role, I worked in the human services sector for 12 years and owned a cleaning business for 10 years. I started working as a science technician in 2021. I learned about LTT by being a part of the Department of Education. They chose LTT to upskill the current science technicians with Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques. I really enjoyed my course, as I found the trainers supportive, engaging and dedicated to their job. I thoroughly enjoyed my course, especially learning about microscopes and preparing/standardising solutions. I also enjoyed the face-to-face sessions where I go to connect with other school-based technicians. Now that I have completed my certificate IV, I hope to obtain my diploma.

Before enrolling in the Certificate III in Pathology Collection course at LTT Brisbane, I was working as a support worker. I heard about LTT through a friend, and decided to study with them as they had good reviews.
The training was absolutely amazing! I enjoyed everything about it! The teacher Toni is very knowledgeable and knows how to deliver materials in understandable ways. My favourite part of the course was practicing bleeds and learning about the collection tubes.

My name is Steven and I’m 61 years old. I joined the Navy when I was 16 years old. After serving 9 years, I got a job in the NSW public service as a chauffeur driving politicians. I spent 35 years doing this, driving four Premiers and many Cabinet Ministers but last year I took redundancy during a restructure. I decided I was not ready for retirement and wanted to do something different than driving. I wanted to do a course to learn a new skill set. While looking at what courses were available to mature age students, I found the Certificate III in Pathology Collection, right from the beginning it sparked my interest!

While investigating options of where to complete this course, I found the LTT website. I made an enquiry, and the staff were very helpful giving me information on the course and how to enrol. It was an easy process and I liked the fact that the Certificate III course was only 16 weeks. This meant I could be potentially doing the job much quicker than other courses that take longer!
The course itself was a good balance between online study and face-to-face training in the classroom. There was always support available during both phases and the Trainer/Assessors were really invested in helping me succeed.

I found the venepuncture to be a bit of a challenge at first, but again the instruction and encouragement from the Trainers at LTT got me through those nerves and built my confidence.

I decided to apply for a position in corporate collection before I had fully completed the course. My Trainer gave me valuable advice to help me present myself during the application interview.

I received an offer of employment from Laverty in their corporate collection team. So my course has helped me find employment – thank you to everyone at LTT. I recommend LTT for anyone considering taking up a career in pathology. I had doubts about being able to find a new career at my age, as well as in completely different field, but now I’m confident in my new skill set and looking forward to interesting work in corporate collections.
