See Where Other Paths Have Lead

I was working as pharmacy assistant before I enrolled at LTT. I decided I would like to get a job related to the health and science field.
My training experience of the Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques course at the Brisbane training centre was very useful! I got a new job in a pathology lab when I was halfway through the course! My favourite part of the course was the practical tasks. I am happy with the job that I found while I was doing the Cert IV. I now work at the Mater Hospital in Brisbane in the CSR area. In the future I think I might do the Diploma in Lab Technology.

I was working as a Lab Assistant at Steinert and that’s what got me into doing the Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques course.
I heard about LTT on Facebook and the internet. I started to read the reviews and everyone who went there was really happy and pleased by attending LTT.
Overall, I found my experience and training to be perfect; the training was amazing. I made new friends during the course too.
I am now focusing on my current job as a Metallurgical Technician. I hope to one day become a Laboratory Manager.

My background is a mushroom farmer. I found LTT as I was researching courses so I could brush up on my laboratory skills.
I decided to study the Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques with LTT in Melbourne because the location was accessible and I found the course to be affordable.
The course was a broad-spectrum training and it was sufficient for my needs. I really enjoyed putting theory to practice in the training labs.
My focus now is to work in food grade lab part time and refitting my farm lab set up. In the future I hope to explore further microscopy and gene studies of fungi/microbiology.
Thank you to my trainers and support staff for their guidance and support during what turned out to be an immensely difficult – logistically and otherwise – year!

I have a postgraduate in chemistry and am also a mother of two kids. I migrated to Australia two years ago and was previously working overseas as Lab Assistant.
I found out about LTT and the Certificate III in Laboratory Skills while looking at courses online.
I decided to enrol and found my training to be very good. All aspects of laboratory work were covered. I really enjoyed our practical tasks. I am hoping to gain employment in a laboratory and then study the Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques!

I commenced training with LTT in September 2020. Due to COVID-19, I was stood down from the Qantas First Lounge. Prior to this I was working in financial administration.
I decided to enrol in the laboratory operations course with LTT in Sydney for a change of career. Luckily LTT had a few seats left in their class, as other training providers couldn’t offer a place until next year.
The Certificate III in Laboratory Skills is fast paced, but it is manageable as Nancy organises work accordingly. Nancy is a passionate teacher; she truly cares for her students. She is meticulous in providing details of what the expectations will be when working in a lab. She really feeds us knowledge of her past experiences and works tirelessly to deliver quality teaching.
My favourite part of the course was testing the samples.
I have been able to secure employment with Symbio. My area of work in Symbio is in the media. I prepare reagent solutions when its low, sterilise the solutions and equipment prior to use, operate autoclave, masterclave and dispenser machines. I check the pH of the water prior to use prepared reagents.
I also prepare samples weighing, enriching and coding. I operate the computer for the solution procedures, and other sample operating procedures that needed to be input into the system like coding prior to incubation. A bit of admin, stock tracking inventory, I guess I’m an all-rounder in the lab!

I’m a Jack of all trades: ex-military, family and sport orientated lifestyle. I completed the Certificate III in Laboratory Skills (specialising in construction materials testing) with LTT through my employer, HiQA Geotechnical. My training was satisfactory, the course provided detailed processes not always explained within the workplace
