Trainer Assessor, Pathology Collection

About the Role

Join our inclusive team as a Trainer Assessor, committed to delivering enriching learning experiences for current and aspiring professionals in the Pathology Collection sector. Reporting to the Lead Trainer Assessor – Pathology Collection, this fulltime role involves:

  • Delivering training centre-based training.
  • Supporting students in developing technical pathology collection skills, including venous blood and other specimen collection, specimen collection for drugs of abuse, first aid and more.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry and national standards, and client requirements.
  • Providing timely assessment and feedback to ensure student progression.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with student and clients to support positive training outcomes.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Certificate III in Pathology Collection (or higher) OR significant Pathology Collection industry experience
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122, TAE40116, or TAE40110) or higher level qualification in Adult Education*. Qualified Secondary School Teachers are encouraged to apply (additional training may be required).
  • Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle for workplace visits
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and high attention to detail
  • Previous training or teaching experience (highly regarded)
  • Hold, or can obtain, a valid Police Check and Working with Children Check
