A day in the life
Leveraging your passion for teaching, you’ll be responsible for equipping the next generation of phlebotomists with hands-on, practical skills in pathology collection!
Your enthusiastic and friendly approach will inspire students and assist in securing work placements with our partner pathology providers. Reporting to the Training Manager, this role involves:
- Delivering classroom training in our Osborne Park training centre, along with travel in the metro area to perform practical observations on worksites.
- Ensuring compliance with industry and regulatory standards and client requirements.
- Providing timely feedback to ensure student progression with assessments.
- Maintaining student records.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to support positive training outcomes.
Experience and Qualifications
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122, TAE40116, or TAE40110 , or
- A diploma or higher-level qualification in adult education or vocational education and training (e.g. TAE, TESOL), or
- A secondary teaching qualification (with TAESS00011, TAESS00019, or TAESS00024 preferred)
- Relevant pathology qualification and industry experience
- Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle for workplace visits
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and high attention to detail
- High level of computer literacy
- Previous training or teaching experience (highly regarded)
- Training and assessment credentials*
