Accreditation Ready

Assessment Day Is Every Day

This Year’s Focus:

Accreditation Ready – Assessment Day is Every Day - When systems are working every day, assessments are confirmation, not a scramble.

Instead of preparing for assessments as isolated events, we should aim to build a culture where our systems, documentation, and technical behaviours remain audit ready at all times. NATA accreditation requires consistent demonstration of technical competence, traceability, and robust quality systems. This event will explore how adopting an “Assessment Day Is Every Day” mindset improves operational reliability, reduces non-conformances, and enhances the defensibility of technical advice provided to clients.

Elevating Australia’s Lab Community

Across Australia, laboratories are under growing pressure to deliver accurate results, maintain accreditation, and respond to changing regulatory expectations. Industry Connect exists to support this by creating a space where leaders can step away from the bench, compare approaches, and learn from experts who live and breathe quality every day.

By bringing together accreditation bodies, quality consultants, proficiency testing experts, employers, and advocacy groups, the event helps align the whole ecosystem around one goal: a stronger, more resilient laboratory sector.

Deep Dives Into Standards and Quality

Each Industry Connect focuses on a critical theme that supports continuous improvement in laboratory practice.

In 2025, the spotlight was on Clause 7.7 of ISO/IEC 17025, with sessions around Australia dedicated to ensuring the validity of test results and strengthening quality control systems. The 2026 event will follow a similar path, tackling another key area of ISO/IEC 17025 with the same practical, real-world lens.
